United States

Still inexcusably listed as a Schedule I drug under the federal Controlled Substances Act of 1970, cannabis is technically illegal in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Dispensaries, cultivators, processors, wholesalers, distributors and labs are licensed by each state and, other than hemp-derived cannabidiol (CBD) with less than 0.03% THC, their products have not been approved by the FDA.
